October 18 My Favorite Verse ... Today :)September 25 Faith Sisters Birthday Bash Crop!Faith Sisters Birthday Bash Crop! September 26-28 - Challenges, Prizes, Chats, Sales and MORE! I just joined this amazing site. The inspiration is fabulous! :) Come join the fun with us on September 26-28! Blessings!! August 20 Our Amazing, Patient GodOh God, You are my God This is the chorus to a great worship song by Rich Mullins. I am reminded that God wants to meet with me first thing in the morning for many reasons. First, His abundant love for me. I heard someone say that He has been waiting all night to talk to us. :) I think that is a sweet thought. I know that He can and does speak to us in dreams and "the watches of the night", as the Psalmist talks about. But when I choose to seek His face in prayer and Bible study before I start my day, I feel His smile on me. I think the second reason is for my sake. I find that when I don't make time to spend with God first, I am scattered and discontent in my thoughts, as I was on Friday. God amazes me with His patience. I was praying about my anxious thoughts, and He brought this song to my mind. I was convicted as He reminded me that I thought there were a couple of things that I should do before my prayer and Bible study time. How foolish of me! Sadly, this was not the first time I had justified this action in my own mind. I am praying that I will be more diligent to be faithful to Him, by doing what He asks of me. Thirdly, He delights to teach me more about Himself as we converse together. There is no greater joy or privilege than communing with our wonderful Lord and Savior! I hope you will learn from my failure and be blessed by this reminder. God bless you! :)
